Meet Our Staff

Our Leadership Team:

The goal of each person on our leadership team is to guide our church according to God's direction and following the guidelines of the Scripture.
 
 
 
 
 Lindsey Burns began his ministry as Pastor of First Baptist Church in August of 2007 becoming the nineteenth pastor since the church was established in 1904. He is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana and a graduate of McNeese State University with master's degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He began serving in ministry in 1970 and has served on church staffs in Texas and Louisiana since that time. Rev. Burns has a wide variety of experience in local church ministry as well as associational and state convention service. He is married to the former Janet Woolsey and they have three daughters, two grandsons, and one granddaughter.

Frank is a graduate of McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana, and has received a Master of Church Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He began serving as a full-time minister of music in 1979 and has served in Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana churches until 1998 when he began serving as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Troy, Alabama. He is married to the former Anna Belle Ash of Lake Charles. They have two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Allison Joy, two granddaughters, and one grandson.

Ryann is a graduate of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has received a Master of Arts in Christian Education, youth specialization from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He began serving as a minister of youth in 1995 and served in Texas and Louisiana churches until December 2003 when he began serving as Student Minister for Green Valley Baptist Church, Hoover, Alabama. He is married to the
former Diana Murphy of DeRidder. They have two daughters, Alexis and Riley.
